Where Do I See Myself in 5 Years?

In 5 years I will be 31 years old. Wow, that seems very distant. When I think about this question right now I have a sense of uncertainty. I know that I can set out to do something and be thrown into a different direction. I like to question my ability to be resilient and consistent.

This uncertainty comes from past experiences of putting my mind to something and not seeing it through, lost expectations, and me believing that I will do one thing only to do another.

I hate this question, but out of a list of 180 journal writing prompts, this is the one I gravitated towards. As a disclaimer to myself (LOL), the next few statements are wishes and dreams. In no way shape or form am I trying to over step Gods Will for my life. Or claim to know it all.

I lack confidence in my OWN abilities to see things through, but with God I can do all things.

1. Lets get some perspective here. So in 5 years I will be 31 and my son will be 8. I would like to see him and I living in our own 2 bedroom 2 bathroom townhome. Clean, spacious, affordable, great neighborhood and neighbors, furnished, cute, and “our home”

2. I see myself maintaining a healthy weight, exercising daily, eating healthy. Essentially using wisdom and maturity.

3. I see myself encouraging women

4. I see myself dating men I’ve never dated before (established, wise, God-fearing, blue collar, man)

5. I see myself traveling for work making 65,000/ year. Thriving in my career.

6. I see myself half way debt free (paying off student loans)

7. I see myself having financial freedom

8. In 5 years, I see myself with a head full of natural 4c hair rocking cute natural styles

9. I see myself confident in my skin, clothes, and overall abilities.

Anything is possible....
